E Cloth (02:54)
Features and Benefits of E-cloth
Exceptional cleaning results—especially on stainless steel and glass—no streaks, no smears.
Faster and easier than "old fashioned" chemical cleaning—just introduce water, fold E-cloth and wipe. There is no need for dual action of putting on chemicals and taking them off.
Cost effective/environmentally friendly—E-cloth reduces chemical costs and the need for harmful household cleaning chemicals by up to 90%.
High quality/durable—E-cloth can be high heat washed and dried 300+ times, killing any bacteria which may have been picked up during the cleaning process.
How E-cloth is Made
Many people have used microfiber in some form in their lives. It is not a new invention. Yet many people are unaware that all microfiber is not equally created. In fact, it's the creation process itself that sets E-cloth apart from less expensive, less effective cleaning cloths alternatives.
The difference that allows E-cloth to deliver an exceptional level of clean with just water and retain this ability over a lifespan of 300+ washes is derived from using only the highest grades of raw materials and a state-of-the-art manufacturing process. The superior manufacturing process of E-cloth utilizes technology to split and combine fibers which create millions of tiny scrapers that serve to cut through dust, dirt, grime, oils, grease, bacteria without scratching surfaces.
There are many factories producing microfiber using lower grades of material, especially in China, where up to 75% of inexpensive microfiber are unprocessed resulting in poor cleaning qualities including water and oil resistance, poor absorption and very limited scraping and lifting ability. Only a limited number of factories posses the state-of-the-art technology and high cost machinery to produce the levels of quality and effectiveness found in E-cloth.
How E-cloth Achieves Perfect Cleaning with Just Water™
The physical and molecular properties of E-cloth provide enough scraping, lifting, capturing and polishing action to remove even the most stubborn substances off any hard surface—a task once reserved for only chemical or solvent based cleaning agents.
Made from a combination of two fibers, polyester and polyamide (a nylon by-product), E-cloth is woven by proprietary machinery into fabric of 80% polyester and 20% polyamide. Polyester is lyophilic which attracts oil and grease, while Polyamide is hydrophilic which attracts water.
With microfiber, the finer the fibers and the sharper the edges of the split fibers, the more effective scraping abilities the fabric has which results in better cleaning. The higher the quality of raw materials and the better the weaving and knitting of the fibers increase the absorption capacity of the microfiber cloth. The industry standard for microfiber is a denier (unit of measuring the fineness of fabric) of 0.2 or smaller which is 100 times finer than a human hair. E-cloth has a denier of 0.1 to 0.2. Fibers used to make microfiber cloths coming out of China have a thread denier of 0.5, many times larger than the fiber used in E-cloth.
Smaller fibers mean more fibers per square inch resulting in superior scraping, lifting, absorbing and polishing qualities. Each square inch of the E-cloth has more than 75,000 fibers, each split into 16 strands, producing an incredible 1,200,000 strands for every square inch of surface area per cloth side. This is the maximum density commercially available with today's technology and translates into greater cleaning and polishing power. Each of these strands attracts dust, oils, grease and water like a magnet and scrapes through dirt, grime, oils, grease and residues like a razor, allowing E-cloth to perform superior to other eco-friendly cleaning cloth alternatives.
